If you liked Red Hot 100, the project created by Thomas Knights to fight discrimination against redheads, you will love Red Hot II ! The British photographer partnered this time with British designer Elliott James Frieze and completely rebranded the whole Red Hot project, with midnight blue material background and embossed silver writing.
“I felt there was more to say. Many of the redhead models we talked to not only had issues with their red hair growing up, but also with being pale. So (Red Hot II) will explore the beauty of the redhead’s pale skin, its supposed fragility, and poetic appearance … ” says Thomas Knights.
Just like Red Hot 100, Red Hot II redefines the “ginger stereotype” with a strong anti-bullying message. And a motto: “Be proud of who you are.” Here are some excerpts from the 2017 Red Hot II calendar, together with more pictures of some of the world’s hottest redheads from Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Australasia, showing off the uniqueness of this particular hair colour, focusing on fair and untanned skin, freckles and black and mixed race redheads.
The project has raised over £45,000 so far for various charities and good causes, and Red Hot 2 will benefit The Diana Awards and their anti-bullying initiative.
