Chez Jean et Nico, on ne donne pas d'étoiles comme à l'hôtel. La qualité, la générosité et la convivialité de ce Bed&Breakfast s’évaluent sur une autre échelle de mesure. Celle du coeur, celle de la rencontre avec ces hôtes et de l'échange.

Chez eux, on se sent tout de suite à l'aise, libre, comme à la maison ou chez des amis. Chambre agréable, bien décorée. Salle de bain commune propre et à l'écart des pièces de vie. Petit-déjeuner personnalisé, savoureux et composé comme un tableau. Salon commun lumineux et chaleureux. Conseils avisés sur les restaurants, les ballades mais aussi les sorties et le shopping.

Ce fût notre première expérience en B&B, et je suis sûr, qu'ils ont placés la barre très haut. Ce qui nous donne plus envie de rechercher un B&B pour nos futures vacances plutôt qu'un hôtel impersonnel, standardisé et anonyme.

Un grand merci pour nous avoir convertis à une autre forme de séjour de vacances, beaucoup plus enrichissante sur le plan humain.

The Little Tiny Gay Room is truly wonderful. Nico and Jean are the best hosts - truly amazing people and we are so happy to have met them. We don't have enough words to describe their welcoming and warm demeanor; they make you feel right at home. Our bed and room were made up every day, great linens and towels were provided as well as tea pot and water in our room.

Every morning Jean made healthy and wonderful breakfast ( beautiful fruit salad sourced on the local Portobello organic market, yogurt, little cakes and toast, then traditional English breakfast on our last day) and it was really great to catch up and feel at home with both Nico and Jean. In the middle of the week we also had amazing dinner with both of them and got to know each other better over a 4-course meal prepared by Jean( who is an outstanding chef! )and shared it with wine. We were out during the day most days of our stay, so we would mostly come back around night time, but once again the room was always made up beautifully, and the guys always asked us about our day and were really helpful with advice on great places to visit, restaurants and more.

We felt like we were staying with two friends (even though we were only there for a week, it seemed like a longer stay, which was great). The place is SOOO clean, and so beautiful. Very nicely decorated plenty of quirky features and artifacts, as well as works of art created by Nicolas himself ; everything is super clean all the time. The place is also in an amazing area – Only one minute of walking from Portobello Road with the famous market, antique stores and trendy restaurants and little bars. The gorgeous leafy streets of Notting Hill are really colourful, interesting and it's so fun to walk around and discover some multiple works by the artist Banksy.

The Little Tiny Gay Room was very easy to get to as it's also a 3 minute walk to the tube and all a dozen of bus lines are literally on the doorstep. Also, from Heathrow it only took us 40 minutes to get there by tube, which was really really convenient ; At the end of our stay, heading to the continent, it took us only 15 minutes from Ladbroke Grove tube station to the Eurostar terminal.
There are also some great restaurant in the areas. One of our favourite Italian restaurant (recommended by Nico on our first day) just a minute of walking, called Pizza East is so close and amazing prices and awesome atmosphere. I would also recommend The Dock Kitchen, E&O, La Sophia, The Ledbury and Anar Persian Kitchen. All of them offer top-end quality food and are within 5 min walk from the Little Tiny Gay Room.

To conclude, our stay was impeccable and truly amazing. Our hosts were very very helpful and super friendly. We felt so privileged to get to know them and stay with them! So, if you are going to London anytime soon and are looking for a great, beautiful space with two amazing, intellectual and worldly people then you must visit The Little Tiny Gay Room and you won't be disappointed.
The Little Tiny Gay Room or rather the Home of Nico and Jean was our home....and that those were the words we unconsciously used is a tribute to these wonderful, enthusiastic and talented hosts.....for some reason.... we felt we were home.
