Gay life in Sitges
"Small is Beautiful!" The famous words of economist Schumacher fits perfectly with Sitges. The city has the charm of a small Catalan village and the torrid atmosphere of a Spanish seaside. Away from the sometimes stifling modernity, Sitges is indeed one of favorite holiday destinations for gays. Still preserved from mass tourism, the gay community has made its domain. Beautiful beaches, Mediterranean climate, very few large institutions but hotels, bars and upscale clubs, Sitges is a destination boosted the summer.
The summer period is overloaded Gay events: It starts in February with the Carnival gay, for an entire week, the "Sitges Bear Week" in April, the San Joan festival that starts the festivities were followed by the recent Gay Pride in July and in August the Fiesta Mayor.
No time to be bored in the meantime with the constant activities of gay bars and clubs from July to September, including the legendary club of Atlantida. From a cultural standpoint, the city was visited by 19th century artists like Dali, Miro and Picasso. Anecdote is Sitges has opened the first gay bar in Spain. It was also at Sitges born the very first gay nudist beach!

je ne suis jamais aller es ji conte bien y aller en mai lol
c'est à 45mn en train de Barcelone, jy suis parti il y a bientot 10 ans. à l'époque il y avait pas mal de bears alors je n'avais pas trop kiffé. Sinon le village est vraiment chouette et ses petites ruelles tres sympas!! j'y retournerais !!!

J'adore Sitges...tout est gay...on est vraiment libre la bas....moi tous les années je doit y aller au moins 2 semaine pour faire la fête à fond e m'amuser comme un fou :):)
I LOVE SITGES
J'ai vécut à Barcelone 2 ans et demi et je suis allée chaque année au carnaval de sitges où il y a une ambiance folle, sans tabou et sans préjugés! Je suis hétéro et je me suis tjs sentie à l'aise dans tous les bars! Je recommande le carnaval où c'est du délire total avec des gens déguisés de partout, de la musique à chaque coin de rue. Je recommande aussi au gays la plage de la muerte qui est une petite crique nudiste et très sympa!
