Gay life in Rio de Janeiro
With 6 million inhabitants, Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city of Brazil. This opened on the world metropolis is also a popular destination of the gay community. Rio knows how to combine the excitement of a cosmopolitan city and the modern hot atmosphere of a gay resort in South America.
Two districts are mainly renowned as "gay areas" of the city: Copacabana and Ipanema. In Copacabana, you can admire the perfect muscular and tanned bodies of sexy Brazilians but also find many trendy hotels, bars, clubs and saunas in a festive atmosphere! Ipanema is smaller and more stylish, it is the perfect place to shop or find the best restaurants. It is the residential center of gay life with its art galleries, universities and theaters. Finally, a third district stands out: Gay Farme, where it is very easy to meet other people and to think about what you might be doing and where you might be going the upcoming night!
But the main attraction in Rio's remains its worldwidly known Carnival which brings each year millions of visitors and is the largest celebration in the world. It takes place in mid-February and launches the Mardi Gras period, a colorful festival! Festivities go on in June with the Gay Pride Parade which brings together thousands of Gays worldwide.

Rio est facilement une des villes le plus spectaculaires du monde : même les plus expérimentés des globe-trotters aimeront ce qu'elle peut offrir. Brasil réunit tous les races et couleurs, et ici tout est (comme ils disent) "plus légal", tout est bien, et tout est permis. Même pour les plus réservés que pour d'autres qui aiment la nuit, Rio offre des possibilités innombrables !
j'aime cette ville, j'y passe souvent mes vacances et pour tout dire c'est LE BON ENDROIT pour faire la fete, les gens sont tres libre d'esprit, on est rythmé par la samba et le funk des favelas !! qu'elle ambiance !!
