Gay life in Cologne

Cologne, the fourth largest city of Germany and the oldest of all is also one of the greatest cultural centers of the country. Its Cathedral, World Heritage of UNESCO, its colorful houses, narrow streets and old Cologne offer a unique charm and friendliness typical of picturesque towns of Northern Europe. Cologne also has the largest exhibition of Modern Art World: Art Cologne and each year millions of visitors travel to attend. But many are coming to this city to participate in the Cologne Carnival and festivities that last for 5 days! Cologne is a city where people like to have fun! Proof is with the election of Cologne as the host city of the last Gay Games in 2010, the biggest sporting event and cultural gay and lesbian world.

The gay scene in Cologne is very active and is often found in the gay neighborhoods of the city: Rudolfplatz or Alter Markt. The district Rudolfplatz is fun, trendy and has the most clubs, cafes and gay bars in town. Gay men come to meet in a relaxed and friendly. As for Alter Markt, it is an older neighborhood and more traditional ideal for walking.
